And the winners are...

We drew names from those who finished Auburn Wave.

Congratulations to Fran for winning 2 skeins of Mrs. Crosby Train Case in the colour Red King Radish and Trina who won 2 skeins of Rowan Fine Art in the colour she chooses.

I saw Vittran on Ravelry a week ago and have been thinking about it since then.

Vittran is a creature in Scandinavian Folklore. She looks like, dresses and lives like a human, and takes care of cows and goats. She is usually invisible, but sometimes humans can catch a glimpse of her. If you help her, you will likely get some kind of reward, but if you cross her, terrible things happen. The Vittran shawl is a top-down crescent shawl knit in seductive Serenity Glitter Sock.

I contacted the designer, Anna Dalvi, this morning to ask if I could use her pictures in a blog post. She said yes and here they are.

Yarn: 2 skeins of fingering weight (shown in Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Glitter Sock)

The pattern is purchased on Ravelry...

This is just one of Anna's amazing patterns.
Anna is originally from the west-coast of Sweden, but has traded the rugged cliffs of Bohuslän for the Canadian wilderness.  She is located in the rural parts of Ottawa and spends her summers knitting by Burridge Lake.In her knitting, Anna enjoys variety more than anything else – from intricate lace to sprawling cables, and differences in colour and texture.  She has published several books with lace designs.
See all of Anna's patterns on Ravelry...

I haven't started Itineris yet. Mr. UPS will be bringing a box from Mrs. Crosby tomorrow with the new multi-colours. I'm going to choose one of those with a semi-solid.

Kim knit another Auburn Wave.
This is 2 skeins of Zen Yarn Garden Serenity 20.
Can you say obsessed? She's started another one in Freia Fingering.

Beth and I were online earlier doing our parents express boarding for their Alaskan cruise. Then we watched Big Brother and I totally forgot that I hadn't finished my post. It's time for bed so I'm calling it done.

Congrats to the winners!

Anna is a great designer - I've done a couple of her shawls! (and she's designed with our yarn!)
