New yarn for fall

The early post today was an announcement so it really doesn't count. Here is the real blog post.

Mr. Canada Post brought in a huge box from Mountain Colors. We have many, many kits for the Perspectives Cowl that I am knitting.
Yarn: Mountain Colors Twizzle
Pattern: Perspectives Cowl - purchased on Ravelry -  it is not in the package of yarn
This lovely textured cowl features a slip stitch pattern and utilizes the gradient mini skeins in the Mountain Colors perspectives kit to create stripes and subtle color changes for a fun to knit cowl! The pattern is quite easy but enough to keep you interested and changes every few rounds.

The box also had Perspective kits in Crazyfoot - a fingering weight yarn. We've knit the kit up into Circular Perspectives - pattern purchased on Ravelry.
Circular Perspectives infinity scarf / cowl showcases the new Mountain Colors Perspectives yarn kit that includes 5 gradient colors of Crazyfoot yarn. To get maximum enjoyment from Mountain Colors Perspectives yarn, I’ve designed this pattern to use up almost every bit of all 5 mini-skein colors.

The stitch pattern is a simple, pleasingly reversible, lace to knit in the round. You can wear your creation as a single casually looped long scarf, or double-looped as a snugly cowl.
The Crazyfoot kits will work great for Magmatic Boom.

Yesterday I mentioned the box that came from Prism. There was a pattern in the box that I am very excited about. Actually, the yarn is in my bag but there wasn't time to cast on last night.
An easy to knit cowl in Stuff. If you aren't familiar with Stuff, it's really cool yarn.
Wild Stuff is composed of 30-40 different hand dyed, gauge coordinated yarns. They are tied together end to end by hand, so that as you knit the texture and colors are always changing. Wild Stuff has a lot of eyelash, metallic, and other highly textured yarns. Wild Stuff has some wool, kid mohair and other animal fibers in it. Like all Stuffs, a larger needle can be used for a more open fabric in ponchos, wraps and scarves. We have successfully worked on as large as a #11 needle.
Cool Stuff™ is composed of 30-40 different hand dyed, gauge coordinated yarns. They are tied together end to end by hand, so that as you knit the texture and colors are always changing. Cool Stuff™ has moderate eyelash, metallic, and other highly textured yarns. Cool Stuff™ has no wool, mohair or other animal fibers in it. Like all Stuffs™ , a larger needle can be used for a more open fabric in ponchos, wraps and scarves. We have successfully worked on as large as a #11 needle.
Layers Stuff is similar in composition to Wild Stuff, but has no eyelash. You will find plenty of texture and glitz, plus a generous 300 yards in a full skein or 150 yds in a half skein. Our family of Stuff remains the standard toward which other hand tied yarns strive. The colors are glorious; combining our carefully chosen palettes allows you to create with Stuff in a way you never could before.
You need a full skein of Stuff and 8mm needles for the cowl. I'll show pictures when I get some knit.
